Bold Bean Coffee Roasters
Bold Bean Coffee Roasters believe that great coffee is a "process, beginning with the farmers who grow it". Their small-batch, artisinal approach to roasting brings out the best flavors and aroma characteristics in every batch of beans. Their single origin organic coffees reveal the essence of what is unique to a particular growing region. Several carefully blended coffees are also available. Coffee will be labeled Fair Trade Certified. This designates sustainably grown and produced without chemicals and pesticides and also ensures that farmers who grow it are paid fairly with profits from the harvest returned to the community.
Jay Burnett and his son Zachary roast small batches to order daily, at the Whole Bean Roaster on Corporate Square Boulevard in Jacksonville. They are proud and passionate about their work and their coffee. The roast-to-order batches are shipped out to restaurants, local grocers and food emporiums as well as a select roast going to pilots at the Naval Station Mayport. They also conduct the Bold Bean Coffee Clique. Coffee Clique members receive monthly selections of either one, two or three bags of Bold Bean’s artisan crafted, small-batch roasted, certified organic coffees with new selections each month. Each monthly shipment also includes cupping notes, detailed fact sheets on the origins of each coffee, and personal commentary from the roastmaster.
Visit the roaster and you will smell the perfume of fine coffee on the street. Or better yet, visit the Bold Bean booth at Jacksonville’s Riverside Arts Market under the Fuller Warren Bridge on Saturdays.
