Currie Brothers’ Market

North of the old city of St Augustine, on US 1, you can find George and Patrick Currie's Market. George and Patrick’s family has farmed on the First Coast for over a century. They share the ownership of this market and for 35 years have actively worked with farm partnerships in the area. They know all their growing partners personally.

The Currie Brothers include fresh, in-season produce largely from Florida and Georgia, but they following the seasonal calendar and bring in other Southern produce when Florida is too hot in the summer. No gassed or waxed produce has ever been offered in the store. Most produce is labeled according to geographical location and farm of origin. When in season, the brothers sell Datil pepper plants and a few other herbs. George drives through Hastings every morning and checks on what’s growing in the fields of our area farmers and he buys the freshest of these locally grown crops.
