Local Fare Farm Bag delivers seasonal vegetables, fruits, and herbs to your home or office in the St. Augustine, Vilano, Palm Coast, Ponte Vedra and some areas of Jacksonville. Local Fare’s self-stated mission is to provide the freshest locally sourced ingredients, showcasing the areas farmers and the commitment that many share to bring people back to a more natural way of providing for their families.

A sample bag in May included organic yellow crookneck squash, seedless watermelon, sweet corn, Italian eggplant, Roma beans, red potatoes, pink-eyed peas, organic basil, organic dill, and French Pantry’s eight-grain bread. Farm bags also include a newsletter telling members where their items were sourced. Weekly recipes and a link to a chef’s video demonstrate how to use ingredients or take you right to the field where members can view the farms. There are also artisanal items available weekly such as local cheeses and honey from the region.

A perusal of this organization’s website shows an impressive list of contributing farms, many of which are Snail of Approval farms. Chris Curry and Brian Loeffler along with their partners are doing an excellent job sourcing from the First Coast region.
